Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech to Oukaimeden

At 09:00 am, meet your guide and driver, then embark on a drive south from Marrakech to Ourika Valley.

Continue uphill to the Oukaimeden ski resort (2500m).

Explore the area and its fascinating rock engravings before enjoying a picnic lunch. Next, head to the Laazib Pass (2600m) and follow a ridge to the summit of Oukaimeden (3400m), which offers stunning views of the Atlas Range.

Descend via a different route to the town.

Dinner and overnight stay in an Auberge.

 

Driving time: 1 hour 30 minutes

Walking time: 4 hours

Day 2: Oukaimeden to Tacheddirt

Today, follow a path to the Tizi N’Addi Pass (2900m), overlooking the Imnane Valley.

Descend along a winding path to Ouneskra (2100m), then gently climb to the remote village of Tacheddirt (2300m).

Enjoy lunch at an auberge.

In the afternoon, you can opt for a walk to Tigouna (2500m) above the village, returning to the auberge for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Walking time: 6 hours

Day 3: Tacheddirt to Imlil

Begin by following a dirt track to the Tamaterte Pass (2300m).

From there, take a path along the mountain slope, overlooking Imlil Valley, to the charming village of Armed (2000m).

Lunch is served on the roof terrace of the auberge.

In the afternoon, enjoy an easy walk to Tidili Spring (2200m) above the village, returning via a different route for dinner and overnight in the auberge.

 

Walking time: 6 hours

Day 4: Armed to Refuge

After breakfast, descend from the village and walk through farming land to join the main route along the stream to the shrine of Sidi Chamharouche (2300m).

Take some time to explore this sacred area before gradually climbing to the Neltner Refuge (3200m). Enjoy a picnic lunch at the refuge.

In the afternoon, take a short walk above the refuge to the Wagane Valley (3450m), then return to the refuge for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Walking time: 7 hours

Day 5: Refuge -Summit Toubkal-Refuge

Wake up early for breakfast before heading out to join the path in the ravine.

Gradually climb to the Toubkal Pass (4000m) and continue along the ridge to the summit of Toubkal (4167m), the highest peak in North Africa.

Enjoy spectacular views of the High Atlas Mountains and surrounding valleys.

Have a light snack at the top before descending the same route to the refuge.

Relax in the afternoon with a hot meal and shower.

Dinner and overnight stay at the refuge.

 

Walking time: 6 hours

Day 6: Neltner Refuge to Tizi Oussem

Today, follow a path on the mountain slope to the Aguelzim Pass (3600m) for panoramic views of the Azadene Valley.

Descend along a zigzagging path to Azib Tamsoult (2300m) for a picnic lunch by the stream.

In the afternoon, continue walking through Juniper forests to the remote Berber village of Tizi Oussem (1850m).

Dinner and overnight stay in a gîte .

 

Walking time: 6 hours

Day 7: Tizi Oussem to Imlil

This morning, gradually climb through Juniper forests to the Mzik Pass (2500m), then descend gently to Berdoun (2300m) for a picnic lunch under shady walnut trees.

In the afternoon, enjoy an easy walk along a level path back to the village Imlil and transfer back to Marrakech.
