Upon arrival in Marrakech, you’ll be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel in the city center. Take the evening to relax or explore the vibrant streets of Marrakech, perhaps visiting the famous Jemaa el-Fna square.
After breakfast, we’ll depart from the hotel in a 4×4 vehicle and head towards the Aït Bou Guemez Valley, crossing the Tizi n’ Tirghiste pass. This scenic drive offers stunning views of the High Atlas Mountains. We’ll arrive at the Berber village of Ifrane, situated at 2,019 meters above sea level, where you’ll spend the night in a traditional Berber house.
Today, we start our trek on a mule track that leads us through the Aqqa n’Oulzouay plateau. We’ll pass through the village of R’bat at an altitude of 1,956 meters before continuing to Agouti, located at 1,760 meters. The village is known for its skilled wood carvers, who are renowned throughout the valley. We’ll spend the night in a local gîte.

We leave the “Happy Valley ” of Aït Bouguemez, following the Assif n’Aït Bouguemez river as it winds through picturesque gorges. After passing the village of Aguersif, we’ll continue on a tranquil path towards the Aït Boulli Valley. Along the way, we’ll traverse welcoming Berber villages, including Taghoulite, Ighir-n-Ighrazene, and Iguelouene. We’ll reach Abachkou at 1,800 meters, where we’ll set up camp for the night.

In the afternoon, we’ll gradually ascend, eventually setting up camp at the foot of a pass at 2,600 meters.

After breakfast, we’ll tackle a short climb to the Ghougalte Pass, which rewards us with stunning views of the Tassaoute Valley. From there, we continue on a trail that ascends to the Tarkedite Plateau, at an altitude of 2,900 meters, where we’ll have lunch. The afternoon is free for you to rest and enjoy the panoramic views. We’ll spend the night in tents on the plateau.

We rise early for the challenging ascent of Mount M’Goun, the second-highest peak in North Africa at 4,071 meters. The climb is gradual but rewarding, offering breathtaking views of the Anti-Atlas and the surrounding desert regions. After enjoying a picnic at the summit, we’ll descend to our campsite at Oulilimt, located at 2,750 meters.

After breakfast, we’ll follow the Assif N’Olilimt river, descending gently to Aflafal, where we’ll stop for lunch. In the afternoon, we continue along the river, eventually reaching our campsite at Tighramt Nait Hamed, situated at 2,200 meters.

We continue trekking along the Assif Mgoun, passing through traditional Berber villages. We’ll have lunch at Taghraft, located at 2,100 meters. In the afternoon, we’ll keep following the Mgoun River until we reach the village of Imin Irk, situated at 1,900 meters, near the entrance to the impressive Mgoun Gorges.

Today’s trek takes us through the stunning Mgoun Gorges, walking in the river between towering rock walls. We’ll stop for lunch at the Ifsfass spring, located at the exit of the gorges. In the afternoon, we’ll often find ourselves wading through the water as we make our way to our campsite in the village of Tighanimine, at 1,800 meters.

We follow the Mgoun Valley, which gradually widens, passing through the village of Agherzegha. We’ll arrive at our gîte in the village of Issoumar, at 1,600 meters, where we’ll have lunch and spend the night.

Continuing along the Mgoun River, we reach the village of Boutaghrar, where we’ll stop for lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll trek through fields of apple and almond trees, finally arriving at our camp in the village of Tabarkhacht, at 1,450 meters.

We’ll drive back to Marrakech, passing through the beautiful Valley of Roses, the palm groves of Skoura, and the town of Ouarzazate, where we’ll have lunch at a local restaurant. The journey continues over the Tichka Pass, at 2,260 meters, before descending into Marrakech, where we’ll spend the night at a hotel.
