Around 09h00 am , meet your guide and driver and head east from the City of Fes , crossing vast agricultural plains extending to the middle atlas chain.
Bhalil village on the high mountain and Sefrou town down in the valley will both come to your sight and will definitely tempt you to explore their hidden beauty.
First, stop at Bhalil, a set of white homes perching from the hill, a town know for a great number of caves, the first dwellings for the past generation.
These caves still represent a good extention of modern homes and still in use as they are perfectly furnished with mats, carpets and cooking utensils.
Our local friend will invite in to share a glass of tea and will happy to share some stories with you.
After this great moment, you will drive shortly to Sefrou, known in Morocco as the Town Garden for the dense vegetation around and also known in the past for its pluralistic society of muslims and Jews together.
On the way, you will stop by the big Jewish cemetry where some important Spahardic Rabbis were burried, still visited and venerated by an important jewish community worlwide, during Hiloulas celebrations.
Then you will carry on to the medina, walk through the gate to the Mellah, name for jewish neighborhood, where an important Jewish
community was living .
You will stroll through narrow alleyways to explore the old village with their remarkable wood crown windows.
On the way, visit the Em Habanim Synagogue, known as The “orphanage synagogue” , where you will appreciate the splendor of its original tile and the carved wood panels.
Afterwards, you will cross one of the bridges on Aggai river, to join the authentic markets, walk through the busy streets where locals sell their products to the open Square for lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will drive shortly to the mountains to take a short walk to the waterfalls, a popular destination for local inhabitants and visitors during Spring and summer as well.
From there you will make you way back to Fes.
